Yoga classes in Clapham: frequently asked questions
Is hot yoga OK for beginners?
Yes. Hot Yoga Basics is designed for it: a set sequence you will get to know, with time to learn each posture. Take it at your own pace and rest whenever you need to.
What is the difference between hot and non-heated yoga?
Same yoga, different room. The heat warms your muscles and makes you sweat, while non-heated classes suit you if you prefer a cooler practice. Many members enjoy both.
Which class should I try first?
Hot Yoga Basics if you like the idea of heat, or Vinyasa Flow if you would rather stay cool. Both welcome all levels.
How much does a yoga class cost?
New here? Start with the £69 intro month of unlimited yoga, Mat Pilates and strength classes, or All-Access (yoga plus Reformer) at £149 for your first month. Either way, you can cancel any time before your month is up. Regulars save with unlimited yoga from £130 a month, or £20 a class with a 10-class pass. A single drop-in class is £25.
How do I book?
Book online through our timetable on Momence, or tap Book a class at the top of any page. Booking ahead secures your spot.
What should I bring?
Just yourself and comfy clothes you can move (and sweat!) in. We provide mats, and you can rent a towel if you need one. We have male and female changing rooms with showers and lockers, and we sell water, snacks, lovely activewear and cute grip socks for Reformer. Arrive 10 minutes early for your first class so we can show you around.
Do you offer Hot Pilates and strength classes?
Yes. Hot Mat Pilates, Hot Mat Sculpt, Hot Strength with Weights and Strength & Mobility are all on the timetable, and they are a great match for your yoga practice.
Who teaches the classes?
Our lovely teachers! Most of them have been with us for years, and they’re brilliant at making everyone feel welcome, whether it’s your first class or your five-hundredth. We’re a proper little community here, with friendly faces and lots of chat before and after class. Check the timetable to see who’s teaching when.
Can I combine yoga and Reformer Pilates?
Yes. All-Access gives you unlimited yoga, Hot Mat Pilates, strength classes and Reformer Pilates. Your first month is £149, then £240 a month, or cancel any time before your month is up.
Where is the studio?
63 Wingate Square, Clapham, London SW4: a minute from Clapham Common tube on the Northern line, or the 35, 37 or 345 bus from Clapham Junction.
