Reformer Pilates in Clapham: frequently asked questions
Is Reformer Pilates OK for beginners?
Yes. Start with Fundamentals: it's designed for complete beginners, so you'll learn how the Reformer works and how to move with control. Do three Fundamentals classes, then move on to Progressive when you're ready.
What is Reformer Pilates?
Pilates on a Reformer machine: a sliding carriage with springs that add resistance or support. It builds core strength, tone and better posture, and it's low impact and kind to your joints.
Which class should I try first?
Fundamentals. Once you've done three, move on to Progressive, then try Dynamic when you want a stronger, sweatier workout.
How much does Reformer Pilates cost?
New here? Try 2 weeks of unlimited Reformer for £99. After that it rolls onto our Reformer membership: 10 classes a month for £180, just £18 a class. Not for you? Just cancel any time before your 2 weeks are up. Want yoga too? All-Access is £149 for your first month, then £240 a month.
How do I book?
Book online through our timetable on Momence, or tap Book a class at the top of any page. Booking ahead secures your spot.
What should I bring?
Comfy clothes you can move in and grip socks (we sell cute ones at the studio if you need a pair). We have male and female changing rooms with showers and lockers. Arrive 10 minutes early for your first class so we can show you around and help you set up your Reformer.
Is Reformer good for strength and posture?
Yes. Reformer works your whole body, especially your core, glutes, back and shoulders, and helps with posture, joint stability and mobility. Dynamic is great if you want a tougher workout.
Who teaches the classes?
Our lovely teachers! Most of them have been with us for years, and they’re brilliant at making everyone feel welcome, whether it’s your first class or your five-hundredth. We’re a proper little community here, with friendly faces and lots of chat before and after class. Check the timetable to see who’s teaching when.
Can I combine yoga and Reformer Pilates?
Yes. All-Access gives you unlimited yoga, Hot Mat Pilates, strength classes and Reformer Pilates. Your first month is £149, then £240 a month, or cancel any time before your month is up.
Where is the studio?
63 Wingate Square, Clapham, London SW4: a minute from Clapham Common tube on the Northern line, or the 35, 37 or 345 bus from Clapham Junction.
