Seth Atkin

yh: run club coach

Marathon pro, Seth, has completed an astounding 20 half marathons and several marathons. After sustaining injuries from a road accident, which put him out of action for 8 years, he began combining running training with yoga practice and found a winning combination for breaking personal goals, re-setting goals then achieving those too! His personal best for a half marathon is a super speedy 1hr and 32mins!

“When asked by Allie if I’d like to help lead the yogahaven running club it brought several aspects of my life together. I do a lot of training, organising and support work in my day job in addition to the interests in running and yoga. At the time of the run club first being mooted I was signing up for the Run England coaching level one course so it all came together perfectly.

I am honoured to be in the position of helping people achieve their running goals and feel encouraged by the great couple of sessions we have enjoyed so far. As a running leader it may be no suprise that given my history I am empathetic with concerns about overcoming injuries, committed to running for fitness and enjoyment, and dedicated to helping people achieve their goals as individuals and as a running group. We all have a story and we all start somewhere.”
