ANTENATAL KUNDALINI YOGA


Saturdays 11:30am with Lucy Skelton
Classes on a Drop in basis only. Please arrive early.
£8 per 90 minute class

Kundalini Yoga and Meditation is a yogic practice developed to provide the most profound results in the shortest time possible. This is an active birth class and the aim is for women to develop confidence in themselves and learn to trust the body's natural ability to bring children into the world.

The class includes:

  • Posture work (asanas)
  • Pranayama - breathing sequences to strengthen the lungs and teach women the essential skill of being able breathe correctly throughout birth and in times of stress.
  • Mantra (chanting), mudra (hand gestures), bandhas (body locks).
  • Meditation - although sometimes challenging, Kundalini yoga meditations are fantastic for pregnant women as they are an excellent way to dissolve fears, eliminate tension and strengthen nerves.

ANTENATAL HATHA YOGA


Tuesdays 6pm with Emma

Hatha Yoga is a safe, simple and natural method of preparing for the miracle of childbirth. This pregnancy Yoga class combines breathing and relaxation techniques with stretching, strengthening, and balancing exercises.

The class includes:

  • Align your body optimally for healthy carriage and delivery of the baby.
  • Provide breathing and relaxation techniques to use during pregnancy and labour.
  • Create more space for baby, breathing, and digestion,
    Reduce discomfort in upper and lower back.

Antenatal Yoga help to strengthen the pelvic floor and Uterus, improves circulation, aids digestion, eases back problems and increases general well-being.
Yoga for pregnancy can also alleviate other discomforts, like nausea, constipation, water retention and Veracious veins
Linking the postures with breath, will lead you to new discoveries, bringing awareness to the mind, body and spirit, and helping you connect with your baby.
The Pregnancy Yoga classes at Yoga haven Brighton are conducted in a calm, peaceful environment. A dedicated centre to Yoga it is our aim to help you to relax and ultimately enjoy a well-tailored antenatal experience.
