Breaking Down the Headstand with Zinzi

Challenge your mental boundaries, strengthen your core, change your perspective. There are many benefits that come with Sirsasana (headstand) often referred to as the King of Asanas. Being upside down can be scary and often, in a classic 60-minute yoga class, there is not enough time to really break down how to achieve the headstand in a safe and supported way. Zinzi will guide you through a fun and dynamic vinyasa sequence that strengthens and activates the correct muscles needed to get into headstand safely.

Zinzi will then break down and explore the headstand, covering technique and different ways of safely getting into your inversion as well as different types of headstands in a relaxed and open environment. Headstand strengthens the whole body, tones the abdominal muscles, stimulates the lymphatic system which is responsible for the removal of toxins, reduces stress as it flushes out the adrenal glands, improves digestion, the list goes on... Often facing a fear gives us a sense of empowerment that we can then transfer away from the mat into our everyday lives. Turn those frowns upside down!
