Yoga Against Anxiety and Stress
with Laurent Roure
Saturday 3rd August 2pm-5pm
yogahaven Clapham, 63 Wingate square, SW4 0AF
According to a 2018 online poll conducted by YouGov, 74% of the UK population have felt so stressed that they have been overwhelmed or unable to cope. Alongside depression, anxiety is the most common mental health problem in the UK.
In experience garnered from his past pranayama and meditation courses and workshops, Laurent has observed that around half of his attendees have enrolled specifically to learn strategies to soothe their stress and anxiety.
Therefore, Laurent created this three-hour long workshop in which he will explain how anxiety and stress affect our body and our mind, how they can challenge and debilitate us , but most importantly; how they can be managed and alleviated through a combination of yoga, breathwork, meditation and mindfulness.
The workshop will offer you simple and practical tools to bring calm, build confidence and cultivate balance when confronted with day-to-day challenges. You will learn grounding practices and techniques that you can use on the yoga mat, at home, at work or at school.
Find your way back to a more balanced and blissful self with the aid of this practical 3-hour workshop.
Senior yoga teacher Laurent Roure practices and works with Heather Mason at the Minded Institute, a specialist centre for yoga therapy for mental health. He is an accredited teacher with a specialisation in yoga therapy for anxiety and stress.
He also studies meditation with Alexander Filmer Lorch and pranayama and breathwork within the system of Swami Gitananda.
