Your guide to our Warm Ashtanga Vinyasa class
This 75 minute Ashtanga class flows through a modified version of the 90 minute primary series. Moving through a set series of postures, linked together with flowing vinyasas, each breath dictates the time spent in and between asana. The calming and balancing pranayama technique Ujjayi breath (in which the back of the throat is constricted during both the inhale and exhale) is used in unison with a strong asana sequence to create a purifying heat from the inside out, creating sweat and eliminating toxins in the system. Class takes place in a reduced heat (25-30 degrees) environment.
