Your guide to our Mindful Yoga with Yoga Nidra class
With Mindful Yoga you will learn how to bring your mind inside your body through thoughtful Pranayama (breathing exercises), visualisation techniques, meditation, gentle yoga sequences as well as static asanas (postures). It will help you to ease stiff muscles and joints and use gentle awareness to move into your own practice effectively.
The focus will be on working with the spine, breath and gravity. The emphasis will be on grounding, lengthening and creating a strong core whilst moving into postures with mindful kindness.
The class will be completed by Yoga Nidra, a deep relaxation practice. It is a technique in which the distractions of the mind are contained allowing the mind to relax. It is a systematic method of inducing complete physical, mental and emotional relaxation. During the practice one appears to be asleep, but the conciousness is functioning at a deeper level of awareness.
