Your guide to our Jivamukti class

Practiced in the upstairs space at our Clapham studio, Jivamukti has quickly become one of our most popular classes! Rooted in Ashtanga, this practice explores dynamic asana, breath (pranayama), mantra (chanting) and yogic philosophy for both an athletic and spiritual experience. Appropriate for yogis of all levels.

Jivamukti Yoga combines ethical and spiritual ideas with a strong, dynamic physical practice, based on Astanga, that will leave you inspired and uplifted. Created by artist musicians Sharon Gannon and David Life, the classes take on a monthly theme where animal rights, the environment and vegetarianism are the focus. Expect flowing, vinyasa-based sequences practiced to music, traditional chanting, reflection upon the relevance of yoga scriptures to modern life and a closing mantra meditation or relaxation.
