Your guide to our Jivamukti Open Class class
We are really happy to be able to offer Jivamukti classes at our Birmingham location. The Jivamukti method has its roots in Ashtanga yoga and includes a combination of dynamic asana (postures), pranayama (breathing techniques), meditation and chanting.
Each class incorporates the 5 tenets of this tradition: Ahimsa (non-harming), Bhakti (devotion), Dhyana (meditation), Nada (sound) and Shastra (scriptural study). Created by Sharon Gannon and David Life, it is a holistic and integrated practice which helps to combine both the physical and spiritual aspects of yoga, whilst encouraging practitioners to take their yoga off the mat and into the world.
This is a practice that will leave you floating out the door. Jivamukti classes are not practiced in the heat and are open to everyone.
